We may be able to use an outside piece of jewelry for changes. Please bring the jewelry in so we can make sure the piece is up to our quality standards.
All piercing prices listed above include a piece of high quality steel jewelry and can be upgraded to implant grade Titanium for $10.
Some piercings will require a jewelry downsize. Standard jewelry can be purchased at this time for $25-$35. Downsize service is $10. Most piercings come with a discount voucher for the downsize. Save your voucher!
General Info
UNHINGED is a walk-in specific shop open from 12-8 PM Monday–Saturday.
Your piercing will come with a complimentary piece of standard jewelry but our piercers and orderlies are ready to help you choose an upgraded piece of jewelry to better suit your unique style. Upgraded jewelry ranges in price based on material and brand. Options start at $20.
We will only use jewelry from UNHINGED for your initial piercing. We will not reuse or use jewelry from home or other stores for any piercing procedure.
We encourage you to bring a support system with you. Please limit the amount of young children in your party, as they will need to be supervised by an adult at all times in the lobby and are not allowed in the procedure room.
Please be respectful of our piercer’s privacy by not video recording in the procedure rooms while they are working. Before and after photos are welcomed.
Any piece of jewelry that goes into your body during your piercing or jewelry change will be yours and will need to be purchased by you. We do not accept returns on jewelry.
Piercings for Minors
10 years and up – ear lobes on the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month. Learn more here.
16 years and up can get ear lobes, most cartilage piercings, nostril, and eyebrow piercings.
We will not perform piercings outside of this list on minors regardless of parental consent.
Physical proof of relationship between parent and minor is necessary. You will need to provide:
- A physical birth certificate, adoption papers, or other proof of guardianship with state seal or notary stamp. If the Guardian’s name is different on the ID than on the birth certificate, change of name forms are also required. These documents should not be copies and need to show a state seal or be notarized.
- A physical form of picture and name identification for the minor, such as a school ID, state ID, amber alert card, yearbook, driver’s license, or passport.
- A physical form of picture and name identification for the parent of the minor, such as a school ID, state ID, driver’s license, military ID, or passport.
We cannot take any identification in the form of a picture on a cell phone.
Parents need to be in the room with the minor during the piercing.
We will not pierce minors under coercion or if we feel they are in distress. They must verbally consent to the procedure in addition to the written consent.

Unhinged apprentices need volunteers for educational training demonstrations. Service fees are waived for these apprentice piercings, which are always supervised by a professional. Sign-up below and you will be contacted as soon as possible to set-up an apprentice appointment.
